Horoscope and Kundli Details in a Marriage Biodata

Marriage Biodata Maker Team · · 3 min read

if your family matches horoscopes, add the date, exact time and place of birth, rashi, nakshatra, gotra and manglik status in a small, labelled section. If your family does not, leave the section out entirely.

Many families ask for horoscope details before they ask for anything else, and a missing birth time can stall an otherwise good proposal. Here is what each field means and how to write it.

The fields, one by one

FieldWhat it meansHow to write it
Date of birthDay, month, year14 March 1998
Time of birthTo the minute, with AM/PM06:42 AM
Place of birthCity or townPune, Maharashtra
RashiMoon signMeen (Pisces)
NakshatraThe lunar mansion of the moon at birthRevati
GotraTraditional lineageKashyap
ManglikWhether Mars is placed in a way astrologers call manglikYes / No / Anshik
Gan, Nadi (optional)Used in guna matchingDev / Madhya

You need only the fields your family or astrologer actually uses. A short section with five or six accurate lines is better than a long one with guesses.

Get the details right

Time and place of birth matter most. An astrologer needs all three of date, time and place to draw a chart. If you do not know the exact time, check your birth certificate or hospital record, or ask a parent. If it is not recorded, write "Not known" rather than estimating, so no one builds a chart on a guess.

Spell names the way your community does. Rashi, nakshatra and gotra have standard spellings that differ by language. If your biodata is in Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati, write them in that script. The builder can print the whole biodata in 12 languages, so this stays consistent.

State manglik status plainly. "Manglik: No" or "Manglik: Anshik (partial)" is enough. Do not add commentary about remedies or beliefs; that belongs in a conversation.

Example section

Horoscope Date of birth: 14 March 1998 Time of birth: 06:42 AM Place of birth: Pune, Maharashtra Rashi: Meen · Nakshatra: Revati Gotra: Kashyap · Manglik: No

When to leave it out

Not every family uses horoscopes. If yours does not, leaving the section out makes the biodata cleaner and avoids prompting questions you do not need. If you want to say so, one line in your expectations is fine: "No horoscope matching required."

Where to put it

Horoscope details usually sit after the personal and family sections, as a small separate block. In the biodata builder you can add a Horoscope section with one click and reorder it like any other. Many designs give it its own panel; see the detailed two-page options in the marriage biodata formats.

Sharing horoscope details safely

Date and place of birth identify a person well. Share them with families you are seriously considering, and send the biodata directly rather than in groups. See how to share your marriage biodata safely.
